Position: Mainframe PAM Architect

At Focus On SAP, we are working with an international client who are looking for a skilled and experienced PAM Architect to design, implement, and maintain our Privileged Access Management solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, a deep understanding of PAM technologies, and a proven track record of designing and implementing effective access management strategies.
Role Description:
- Designing the integration of CyberArk PAM capabilities into the mainframe environment and creating architectural plans for the implementation
- Tasks performed include integrating hardware, software, and network solutions, developing plans for solution delivery, which may include engagement with vendors and subcontractors.
- Provide feedback, participate in product evaluations, and collaborate with vendors on troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Define and enforce security controls, ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations, conduct security assessments, and maintain documentation and reporting of mainframe security measures.
- Develop strategies and implement controls to mitigate these risks, such as managing privileged credentials, controlling access permissions, and monitoring privileged sessions using CyberArk features.
- Play a key role in investigating and remediating security incidents related to privileged access on the mainframe
- Develop and maintain PAM policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging PAM technologies to ensure our solutions are cutting-edge.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex PAM-related issues.
Key Skills /Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on Privileged Access Management with architect and administrating of Mainframe / AS400 / Tandem
- Proficiency in PAM tools and technologies, such as CyberArk, Thycotic, or BeyondTrust.
- Strong knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) concepts and principles.
- Industry certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or PAM-specific certifications, are a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong project management skills.
