Workday HRIS Manager - Hybrid 3 Days a week

The HRIS Manager will leverage their extensive experience in the Workday ecosystem to lead the charge in maintaining and developing new configurations within Workday. This individual will provide strategic guidance and leadership to the HRIS team as well as utilize their own technical experience to contribute to the configuration maintenance and further development of Workday modules. This role will collaborate with teams across the business to deliver best in class solutions through hands-on technical expertise and ability to think outside the box by finding unique and creative ways to design implement and maintain processes.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Directly oversee a team of HRIS analysts
  • Provide tactical and strategic leadership to HRIS analysts – ensuring the team is properly aligned and has plans to develop & grow professionally
  • Provide guidance and project management for HRIS initiatives – developing project plans and managing progress on initiatives
  • Partner with Leadership and other COE’s to understand the composition of the business business needs and key initiatives and translate those requirements to ensure the system is built to efficiently support the organization
  • Liaison with business partners to drive improvements including HCM Benefits Finance Learning Payroll and others. Plan and monitor progress of all external partners working within Workday on initiatives/projects.
  • Define HRIS project roadmap through an understanding of key business initiatives evaluating process optimization requirements to support the business key release features etc.
  • Identify risks or opportunities and recommend changes to processes which improve the delivery of HR services to the organization.
  • Evaluate Workday bi-annual release and formulate plan/strategy for implementing
  • Key player both strategically and technically on HRIS implementations
  • Key player both strategically and technically for all HRIS related M&A activities having the ability to evaluate the business need and formulate and implement a plan to merge businesses. Addressing all factors that come with M&A – data conversion process harmonization dual maintenance communication education & training.
  • Identifying knowledge gaps and building training documentation etc. to address said gaps
  • Work alongside HRIS Analysts to configure test upgrade maintain etc. the system
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of the system
  • Building processes that are fully vetted and sustainable
  • Building reports and dashboard
  • All other hands-on technical responsibilities as required
  • Serve as primary interface with Workday and implementation vendors on any issues or any configurations/requirements that need to be escalated.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and utilize interpersonal and organizational skills to effectively perform multiple tasks and constantly changing priorities.
  • Must be willing/able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years HR experience with at least 2 years of HRIS experience or currently certified in Workday.
  • Workday Certifications are a plus
  • Have true hands-on technical expertise in several Workday Modules – HCM Security Reporting Recruiting Talent Compensation etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Workday fundamentals – Business Processes Business Process Conditions Calculated Field Security Groups & Roles Integrations EIB’s Report Writing Organizational Hierarchies and other foundational structures etc.
  • Experience working with international teams preferred
  • Experience working on compensation and merit yearly projects.
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Workday.
  • Ability to influence and manage change and deal effectively with change management initiatives.
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Experience in understanding and translating the priorities of the business and integrating the HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business.
  • Track record of strong business partnership and cross functional collaboration within a dynamic fast paced environment; a strategic leader who takes initiative and ownership.
  • Ability to effectively conduct virtual presentations and training sessions.
